Hello
everyone, that’s again me, Alesya! As you can see, I’m turning better, I write
here more often :D Today I’m going to tell you about our PDO – maybe the best
time, spent with other FLEXers J
As many of
you know, the PDO is Pre-Departure Orientation, that means something like
little courses for future subjugators of America J Actually, all the FLEX finalists
gather together and go for 4 days to Nabran (resort in Azerbaijan), where they
are taught how to behave themselves in the States, what kind of difficulties
might gonna appear and what to do in these cases. What was absolutely awesome –
everything was in informal conditions, very, very funny, in the evening we had
comical games and everyone had a friendly attitude towards everything and each
other. In general, I’m delighted! :3
To say the
truth, at the first day everyone was very distant, gathering in little groups
of people, that they more or less knew. But then, after some time, we became real
friends..)) We laughed, rejoiced, talked a lot, it was just great! All the
girls and guys are very interesting; with any of them you can find the common
language, something to talk about. After the PDO I understood, that FLEX
chooses people very right – everyone is very active, cheerful, real LEADERS! J
And one
more thing: before the PDO the FLEXers of previous years confidently told me
that PDO is one of the most interesting parts of FLEX, that this is something
incredible. And I thought – nothing special, just 4 days with other children
which are also going to USA and that’s all, everyone will go theirs ways. But
passed through this by myself, I got that I was very wrong. We made veeeery good friends, we became very
close to each other, we became a real family. FLEX family. And I’m proud to
have such an astonishing family! J
Some photos you are below, in the previous russian version of post.
The others
you can see on my facebook page.
You know..
I’ll never forget these 4 days. And I already miss all of my friends, my
family. I hope, we’ll gather all together not once in the future and remember these
cool days. I love you, yeah :3
P.S.
Quoting my facebook status from June, 26th:
“Sooo guys, now the PDO is over, and you know - it was just great! I have spent my best time there, all the activities, hang outs, even sessions that are boring everywhere, they were awesome here! Our super teachers - Tyson, Caroline,Ozal, Ayan, Tamella - we fell in love with ya))) Ozal's crazy, very funny toilet game, Nadir's "scary" stories in the dark before curfew, Firuze&Fatya&Turan's night company and eating at night, Eltaj's craziness that I like so much, Shukur's "nikchemniy and kchemniy sifet", Nicat's yoga, "pechenki" from guys, Farhad's crying in role of Yusif's host mother, teaching Orkhan russian language, Kanan's "American smile", singing "FLEX, FLEX, FLEX on the beach" while walking there to make a great bonfire, alumni surprise "American dream", funny evening water games - EVERYTHING was excellent! I wish I would never come back from PDO and I gonna miss all of you. But it's not the end, it's just a begging of real FUN! :) I love you, flex'20 ♥ Thumbs up, cheeks out!!! “
